About Quantico Child and Youth Programs

MCB Quantico Child and Youth Programs offer a variety of programing to include The Child Development Center (CDC), Family Child Care Homes (FCC), and School Age Care Programs. Below is a brief description of each. Child Development Center (CDC): Provides high quality child care services to children 6 weeks-5 years of age. Classrooms accommodate children according to their age, developmental age and any special needs. The CDC is DoD certified and proud to be accredited by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) . The CDC is also a USDA sponsored program that ensures that your child receives healthy nutritional meals. Two meals and one snack are provided daily, Monday through Friday. Family Child Care (FCC): Family Child Care offers full and part-time home-based care and space available hourly care. The FCC program holds DoD certification. FCC providers successfully complete background checks; they are inspected monthly for compliance in the areas of fire, health, safety and developmental programming; and they participate in on-going training to ensure they provide quality care to children. School Age Care Program (SAC): As your school-age children receive cognitive stimulation in school, the School Age Care Program strives to provied opportunities for social interactions in multi-age groupings. The activities are planned to reinforce and extend your child's self-direction and self-reliance using a variety of equipment and materials. The SAC program offers before and after school care, and camps during the school holidays. The MCB Quantico SAC program is also an affiliate of programs such as 4-H.
