The Entrepreneurship Club (eClub) at UMGC is a NEW club for students, faculty, and staff. The eClub is open to full and part-time, graduate and undergraduate students majoring in all disciplines. The club is also open to alumni and full and part-time faculty and staff. The mission of the organization is to provide members with an opportunity to learn about the benefits, risks, and challenges of entrepreneurship. The organization offers members professional business growth, leadership development, and educational recognition. Participants engage in business and networking opportunities in collaboration with local, national, and international business-minded leaders. Professor Marlene M. Jackson is the Faculty Advisor for the eCllub. She received her Ed,D in Educational Leadership in 2011 and is an Adjunct Faculty Professor in the University of Maryland Global Campus Undergraduate School Communication, Arts, and Humanities Department, where she teaches business, technical and advanced writing. Professor Jackson is also the Founder/CEO of Biz Kidz Academy, a non-profit, Christian-focused organization developed to encourage aspiring kidpreneurs (Ages 8-18) to start and grow their very own small businesses.
