Pigment International and Black Fine Art Month

Black Fine Art Month (BFAM). BFAM is a global celebration of the Black Art aesthetic, an annual recognition of artists, innovators, collectors, curators and those vested in the Black Art tradition, and an opportunity to commemorate these contributions through art programming. The celebration affords us a moment to toast the bold gallerists and esteemed art purveyors who revere the aesthetic, drive the value; and invest in artists who are making a cultural impact. Through this annual recognition event we aim to accomplish the following : · Create international awareness for the creativity and contributions of Black Fine artists. · Develop an art ecosystem, through Black Fine Art Month, that connects Black Fine artists no matter where they are. · Create awareness of the ecosystem needed to support Black Fine artists - collectors, curators, art journalists, institutions, others. · Engage in dialogue that highlights the contributions of the Black Fine Art community. · Create opportunities for artists to expand their practices, grow their creative output and solidify their financial well-being.
