Growing up, my block was the kind you would hear your parents talk about. Any grown person could discipline you, and some could even whoop you. When you saw an adult in or outside the block you would tighten up and show them respect. Cause you knew if you weren’t on your best behavior, you’d be getting it when you got home. But at the end of the day, they just were looking out for us and now I know it was all out of love. We were a village. A family. So I wanted to embody that concept in this space. Bringing back that old school village ideology. So to pay homage to our block, we named this space Palmetto’s Gift.
