The Oregon Center for the Arts at SOU educates students, artist-practitioners, and scholars in a learning environment that cultivates SOU’s values of creativity, collaboration, discovery, and diversity. The OCA is an academic division of Southern Oregon University and offers programs of study for students in Music, Theatre, and Creative Arts. In addition the OCA is a regional arts center which includes the Schneider Museum of Art (SMA), Chamber Music Concerts, The Tutunov Piano Series, Oregon Fringe Festival, Oregon Arts Medallion, ShakespeareAMERICA, and a multitude of art exhibitions and theatre, music and dance performances. The OCA partners with community arts organizations including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Britt Music & Arts Festival, Ashland New Plays Festival, Southern Oregan Repertory Singers, Rogue Valley Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, Ashland Independent Film Festival, Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon, Ashland Gallery Association, and many more.
