I am a retired police commander and military officer who was inside of a big-box store as an active killer entered the building stating he was there to "kill people"! As an off-duty police officer, I knew I could not allow such a lethal attack to succeed. I quickly and methodically manuevered to a position where I could end this reign of terror before innocent lives were lost. I quickly eliminated the threat to the business and called for uniformed officers. Since surviving this active killer attack, I continue to travel across the United States sharing my testimony of survival and lessons on surviving the next active killer attack.
