NL Bodhi Association 荷兰菩提学会

Foundation NL Bodhi Association is a Buddhists group active in the Netherlands. It is affiliated to the Stichting Dharma Study Association the Netherlands which was created on 29 June 2015. The Stichting Dharma Study Association the Netherlands is a registered charity organization, recognized by Dutch Authority with KVK-number: 63626136. Teachers The NL Bodhi Association has been under the guidance of Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche, who is a contemporary figure in Tibetan Buddhism, Nyingma tradition. He is a primary Lama in the world's largest Buddhist institute - Serthar Larung Gar Buddhist Academy, in Sichuan, China. Activities Most members of the Association attend online Dharma Courses on a wide range of subjects related to Buddhist theories and practice. Outstanding teachers offer these courses from Serthar Larung Gar Buddhist Academy, for everyone who is interested in learning Buddhism, at no cost. In addition to systematic introduction on theories, practices are also an indispensable part of the curriculum. In addition to monthly gathering, members of the Association also support animal rights by promoting vegetarianism and other charitable activities. In September 2015, the Association hosted the first visit by Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche to the Netherlands. During the visit, Khenpo Sodargye Rinpoche delivered speech to the public at Leiden University and Rotterdam World Trade Centre on why Tibetan Buddhism appeals to urban youth. Dharma Courses The courses are authentic, online, free of charge, open to everyone resides everywhere. The invaluable course provides a genuine source of knowledge from Buddhist Monks or Nuns from Serthar Buddhist Academy. The teaching and discussion are held once per week, for a period of several months.
