NAMI Multnomah’s mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with a mental health condition and their families through support, education and advocacy. We are the Multnomah County affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, we serve the local community, providing support, education, and advocacy. Our programs support a wide-range of people, including adults and children, family members and peers, veterans and civilians. We promote community mental health recovery and wellness through our free programs, including mental health presentations in middle and high schools, peer support groups, family support groups, and mental health classes. Our Veteran peer support specialists provide one-to-one peer support for Veterans and our family support specialists provide one-to-one support to families whose children are involved in the Multnomah County wraparound program. We also provide Peer Support Specialist training for peers interested in pursuing careers in adult mental health.
