The National Alliance on Mental Illness, Broward County is dedicated to improving the quality of life for persons affected by mental illness through outreach, support, education and advocacy, and eradicating the associated stigma. Mental illness is biological in nature. It is a brain disorder that affects logical, rational thought processes and emotions.
