The MSU Alumni Club of Metro Washington, DC (DC Spartans) seeks to provide a means by which a student(s) from Metropolitan Washington, DC has an opportunity to attend Michigan State University. It is our goal to help academically strong students who demonstrate both a desire to attend Michigan State as well as a need for financial assistance. In helping to promote our endowment(s), it is also our goal to promote Michigan State University. The Green and White Gala is the premier annual event for the MSU Alumni Club of Washington, DC. The Gala brings together alumni and friends from across the country for an evening of philanthropy and recognition of a local distinguished alumnus. Proceeds from the event go toward the Club’s Endowed Scholarships which enable students from the DC area to attend MSU. All net proceeds from the Green & White Gala benefit the Betty Mitchell Colden Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to students from the Metropolitan Washington, DC area.
