Hi, my name is Morgan Caudle. I’m a former high school teacher and Charlotte-native whose life took a new direction in 2022 when my family and I moved to 5 acres in York, SC. Motivated by the disruptions of Covid on modern food systems, I began learning and practicing homesteading skills that quickly became part of my everyday life.Today, I raise egg-laying chickens, meat chickens and rabbits, and have learned to butcher livestock and hunt deer. I grow vegetables in the garden, can and preserve food, bake bread, and even make my own soap. What started as a response to uncertainty has grown into a way of life—and I’m so excited to share these homesteading skills with you!
