Follow Mordecai Historic ParkMordecai Historic Park is the oldest home in Raleigh, N.C. on its original foundation dating back to 1785 and was once the largest plantation in Wake County. Today, the historic park houses other historically significant buildings, including the birthplace of President Andrew Johnson.The park is open daily to visitors and tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm and on Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. The Visitor Center has two free exhibits on the history of the site as well as self-guided tours.
