The Sea Shanty Festival was great. Good weather for it. Organizer were available, but not everyone know all the venues for gigs. Website lacking map where all the venues were being held. For future reference Website with all helpful details of the singing gig venues need to be give on a map on the website Website Failure.

It was brilliant. Lots of great stalls and music, with well sourced food and drink. The many people who came really enjoyed themselves.

I visited the free event with my husband, two sons,daughter in laws and our 4 year old granddaughter,who came dressed as a pirate. .Parking was easier than we thought,maybe because people walked or caught the bus. There were activities for adults and children including climbing wall,archery,axe throwing and activities on the water,sailing, kayaking and paddle boarding.You could also have rides on boats(we missed out on this as we ran out of time!)and model boats were sailing too.We love sea shantys so it was great listening to the brilliant singers in various places.The only thing we had a slight problem with was getting a go on the kayaks.We booked a time slot but somehow my son and I didn't get a kayak with the other members of the family as there were not enough.In the end we had to swap places with other family members. I think the process could have been better organised. It was okay though and definitely didn't spoil the day.We finished off the day listening to sea shanty whilst having a relaxing drin

I enjoyed both singing (I am in the Barnacles) and listening to other groups. Audience participation was generally enthusiastic.More people would have attended if publicity had been better - many Portsmouth residents were unaware.

The singers were really good, but I thought there would have been more stores with a variety of products to sell. I did enjoy my time there though (2 hours)

A few standard craft stalls, about 5 families walking round, 1 fair ride, a climbing tower and very expensive food. Took more time for the chap to check our bags than it did to walk round.
