The Misty Mountain Rangers is a group dedicated to those living along the Colorado Front Range and the surrounding areas who share a love for the Rangers of Middle Earth, as well as all other rangers and guardians of wild places, both from history and fantasy.This group is part literary fan-club, part costuming group, and part outdoorsmanship society. We encourage discussions regarding the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and other fantasy authors, as well as sharing information on costuming and mountaineering/bushcraft. Any and every level of participation is welcome, from the casual Lord of the Rings or Ranger's Apprentice fan to the hard-core primitive back-packer, and everything in between.
