Mireya A. Marcet, MA. MFT, is a Mexican woman who has lived in California for the past 25 years and offers her work locally and internationally. She is an artist, expressive arts psychotherapist (graduated from CIIS in 2002), astrologer and Grof Holotropic Breathwork facilitator (since 1993). Her therapeutic and teaching work is informed by her experiences and training with “Curanderas” (medicine women) in Mexico as a social anthropologist, more than three decades of work with expanded states of consciousness, as well as the expressive arts, ceremonial practices and the astrological chart as tools for soul’s expression, healing and rebirthing.She is the creator of “Altar Creation – A Canvas in Movement” a practice that offers diverse applications to connect with our interior life and the sacred through the creation of altars and a multimodal integration with them. She offers regular women’s expressive arts circles as well as Individual , group sessions and retreats for the Integration of expanded states of consciousness – an integrative practice weaving Holotropic Breathwork, expressive arts, sacred practices, mindfulness and work with the natural world. This work applies to breathwork, spiritual emergence, plant medicine and psychedelic Integration work.She is an adjunct professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the expressive arts program and was a mentor for the Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research. Mireya strongly believes in the power of offering sacred, creative and permission giving environments to bring about personal, collective and spiritual transformation.
