Event Description On Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, we gather to celebrate the release of Dr. Micah Johnson’s novella entitled Never Had a Friend. The book is a part of a multi-medium collection of artistic works that discuss trauma, homelessness, and the capacity for art and positive relationships to foster resilience. It will be an epic event! Purpose The purpose of this collection is to foster support for the 2.5 million children who experience homelessness in the U.S. each year; promote art as a method to help folks heal from traumatic experiences and empower marginalized voices; and launch a targeted performance tour and eventually distribute the piece on a major media platform. “Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.” -Booker T. Washington Event Details The book release party and fundraiser will feature complimentary dinner, beverages, entertainment, guest speakers, golf, and much more. More spirited beverages will be available for purchase for interested parties. The Ask Please join us in celebrating the release of the Novella version of the creative collection entitled “Never Had a Friend.” Your attendance will help us celebrate, create momentum, and raise money to cover the cost of a small performance tour. We recommend a sliding donation from $50 (students) to $200 (professionals).
