MCA (Mountaineering Club of Alaska) is a non-profit 501 (c)7 organization that was established in Alaska in the 1950's. The organization is primarily focused on educating and providing members with opportunities to recreate in the outdoors specifically in the areas of mountaineering, ice climbing, hiking, etc. The MCA Ice Climbing Festival has been held for over 30+ years. The MCA Ice Fest Coordinator - Jayme Mack started in 1998 as a ice fest student, then instructor in 2000 and took over organizing the event in 2001. The organizer still climbs and teaches all over Alaska, Montana and Colorado.
