Southeast DC Native Matt Capone began writing poetry at the young age of 7. Being a natural, he performed in his first open mic at 10 years old. Not only has he performed his poetry here in Washington D.C., but also in Philly, New York, and is planning a Mid-Atlantic tour. While Matt is an amazing poet, he is also an Entrepreneur, beginning his own open mic events here in the city called Trap Poetry. Along with his events, Matt Capone has his Poetry Mixtape which incorporates his poetry with 90s and 00s R&B feels.
