Follow Marilyn LangbehnMARILYN LANGBEHN (she/her)'s multi-faceted career includes leadership positions at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley, California Shakespeare Theater, and Opera Parallèle; additionally, she served for eleven years as Executive Artistic Director of Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT), where she produced or directed more than 40 productions, including the critically acclaimed production of August: Osage County, receiving Best Production and Best Director nods at the inaugural TBA Awards in 2014. She founded the Theatre's Reading Stage series in 2015 to showcase the work of women playwrights and playwrights of color, and the "Kitchen Table Conversation" Zoom series during the pandemic to engage audiences in substantive conversation about the arts in an informal setting. A freelance director, playwright, arts educator, former member of Washington State Arts Commission, and a former NEA grants panelist, Marilyn is a bona fide political junkie, and fierce advocate for equitable access to arts programming on both sides of the curtain.
