REMOTE Rural Touring Cinema Scheme is run by Eden Arts and funded by a three year grant from The Big Lottery. The scheme is about bringing local communities together through cinema events. This would include: watching great films and creating fun, social events that could include dressing up, food, music, and other activities inspired by the chosen film’s theme. We hope to bring communities together, tapping into talents, skills and the enthusiasm of young people. We are hoping to have one film event per half term, starting in October 2012. Our venues would be Appleby Public Hall and Appleby Grammar School.
