SKEW Magazine is produced by Level Ground – an award-winning artist collective and nonprofit production incubator creating collaborative experiments in empathy. This year’s issue features the work of over 50 Black artists, futurists, healers, conjurers, and abolitionists around the curatorial theme Black Dreams, Futures & Mutual Support. For the first time in Level Ground history, this issue of SKEW is cooperatively owned by the curators, designer, and contributing artists. This means that 100% of proceeds from SKEW sales and event donations will go directly to support the more than 50 Black artists who make up this year's SKEW community. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, this year's magazine has expanded to include a printed publication and a digital hub for online healing, conversations, and other interactive spaces. Through the SKEW // Digital Hub you can watch panel discussions, attend live events, and explore video, audio, and interactive art selected by the curatorial team – all from the comfort of your own home.
