LeLe Chan is a Filipina visual artist and writer based in Vancouver, BC. She is the founder of Tahanan Studio, a BIPOC-led creative wellness space, and the co-founder and producer of Kamayan Festival, an annual celebration of Filipino food, art, and culture. Her multidisciplinary practice spans painting, calligraphy, hand engraving, wood-burning, graphic design, installation, and storytelling through the written word.LeLe’s work is rooted in her Tagalog heritage and guided by values of decolonization, anti-racism, and collective healing. She creates art as a form of resistance and ritual, often drawing on spiritual symbolism, intuitive storytelling, and ancestral wisdom.
