Laura Claire Sera

Laura has been passionately committed to the healing and transformative power of song since the moment an ecstatic community singing experience jolted her out of a state of deep withdrawal from the world. As she opened her voice and her heart, she found her truth and her path as a song carrier. She found that divine love was within her all along. Laura’s work as a song leader is to create and hold space for others to discover that divine self-love and their own inner truths. Through singing together, we explore and strengthen our connections, our compassion, and our courage. Laura sings in Heather Houston's women's choir, Yala Lati, and she is the Teaching Assistant in Heather’s Sisters in Harmony Song Leader Training. Through her work in documentary film, creative writing, aikido (the art of peace), Compassion Cultivation Training, and Nonviolent Communication, Laura has three decades of experience holding safe space for others to explore their voices and discover the true agency they have within their own narrative unfolding.
