The show was awesome and the tickets were free. My wife and I had a blast!!
Review for : Comedy in Bellflower, FREE Tix Saturday, 3/15!
This was our second visit. We go to a fair number of comedy shows. In the smaller venues (and Recess Playground is definitely a small venue) where three or four comedians perform, it is unusual for us to like every performer of the night. It is an unrealistic expectation to think every comedian will have material that you relate to personally. That said we were thrilled with all performers the first time we visited. So we decided to give it another shot a couple nights ago. When we arrived I told my wife it would be difficult for the comics this night to exceed or even match the standard that was set on our first visit. Damned if they didn't do just that. We had a blast and were once again surprised at the quality of the entertainment. We are an older couple (both in our 70's) and the crowd there is decidedly young, like way young. Despite this disparity we never feel out of place (or we just don't give a shit anymore) or uncomfortable. It is a very small venue, like the smallest you will probably ever exper
