La Guagua 47 presents La Guagua Creativa — a vibrant series of hands-on, artist-led workshops organized by Alba Martínez in partnership with Taller Puertorriqueño as part of her ongoing Artist Residency. Rooted in the culture and creativity of Philly’s Latino neighborhoods, these workshops transform Taller into a lively hub of community and belonging. Open to all backgrounds and skill levels, participants come together to create art, music, dance, and stories, fostering cultural learning, pride, and deep community connection. Inspired by Alba’s unforgettable 47 bus ride in 1985 — which led to a song, an award‑winning short film, and now a bilingual musical — La Guagua Creativa celebrates creativity, culture, and the power of belonging.
