Kou Tukala Nyan writes about sights, tastes, movements, reflections, “what if” scenarios, and surrealism. Nyan loves to draw people into experiencing new worlds. Her first book,Jesus, Adulting, People in Poetry, was featured in Hey Rhody. She received the Make Art Grant from RISCA for her speculative short story and poetry book,Try and Make It Home.Nyan is a journalist whose articles are featured inHey Rhody,The Bay,So Rhode Island,Providence Monthly, andRhode Island Monthly. She is a dancer and performer. She reports and curates spaces/events and wanders in her spare time.
