Her work supports education leaders nationwide in advancing school performance, designing improvement systems, and driving organizational transformation.Proven Leadership and Measurable ImpactBefore founding Vine Elements, Kelli served as Senior Vice President of Schools at The Mind Trust, where she led the investment strategy and support for more than 20 charter and innovation network schools. Her strategic approach to school support and resource alignment resulted in increased outcomes across the portfolio of schools annually on statewide assessments.She also led the scale and implementation of the Indy Summer Learning Lab, a citywide initiative that served thousands of students each year and consistently produced annual gains of more than 20 percentage points in literacy and math achievement. Under her leadership, the program’s success prompted the State of Indiana to adopt and expand the model statewide, ultimately bringing high-quality summer programming to twice as many students as were served in Indianapolis.Executive ExperienceEarlier in her career, Kelli served as Chief Executive Officer of Tindley Accelerated Schools, leading a six-school charter network through a successful board-directed consolidation that strengthened academic quality and long-term financial sustainability. As Founding Principal of Tindley Collegiate Academy, she launched Indiana’s first all-girls middle school, recognized as one of the state’s top-performing charter schools.She also served as Chief Academic Officer for GEO Academies and as Founding School Leader of GEO Next Generation High School–Indianapolis, where she launched and led the replication of a new high school model centered on college immersion and workforce readiness. In partnership with the CEO, she forged partnerships with higher education institutions and local organizations to provide students with early college access and real-world career pathways. Her experience further includes serving as an Adjunct Professor at Butler University, where she taught graduate-level coursework on school improvement for three cohorts of aspiring principals.Credentials and ServiceKelli holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Science in Education Administration from Butler University. She is a Certified Executive Coach through the Center for Executive Coaching and a graduate of the National Principal Supervisor Academy at the Relay Graduate School of Education.She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Matchbook Learning, MelanatED Leaders and as a Director with the Global Special Education Association, where she contributes to national efforts that expand access to high-quality, inclusive education.
