Follow Kelley Center for Economic DevelopmentFrancis Marion University’s Kelley Center for Economic Development is dedicated to the economic growth of the Pee Dee Region in South Carolina through business incubation, small business outreach, various regional economic development initiatives, and training events. The FMU Kelley Center has two main offices located in South Carolina: one in Florence at the Francis Marion University Place building on 142 North Dargan Street and in Lake City at The Continuum on 208 West Main Street. Both Florence and Lake City locations have staff that provide services such as small business assistance, professional development training, and business incubation. The Kelley Center hosts a variety of workshops and training events each month that provides small business focused content presented by local, regional, and state subject matter experts. Subject matters include: business planning, intellectual property, financing, accounting, marketing, lending, employment law, website development, strategic management, and more.
