Karen Bruening and Dr. Bhuvaneswari Ramachandran are local educators with a passion for engineering education outreach.Karen Bruening has been a certified teacher in Escambia County, Florida, for 11 years total, with 9 of those spent at Pensacola High School coaching the Engineering Team and providing various outreach opportunities for area students to attend or at which area students can volunteer. She has a B.S. in Marine Biology and an M.S. in Environmental Science, both from the University of West Florida.Dr. Bhuvaneswari Ramachandran is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering with more than 15 years of teaching exprience and has published more than 30 refereed journal articles so far. She has been at the University of West Florida since 2012, and currently serves as the sponsor for the SWENext chapter at UWF .
