Follow Kanupriya Theatre CompanyThe story picked up pace gradually, though it was appearing a bit disjointed during first half. Lead actors did a good job, especially one playing Anuradha. The rich old businessman seeking her as his third wife, was played excellently well! Not to forget, the two young kid actors deserve appreciation. However, production was anything but slick. The scene changes were unprofessional with people in white clothes moving props on the set under blue lights and fully visible. This interrupted the engagement and focus of audience again and again. In one scene in the begining, the male lead dons a dhot and him being tall and dhoti being a bit short, dark trousers were fully visible below the dhoti. These things jar one’s mental journey to early twentieth century Bengal. Also, a two hour play needs a break or the length needs to be edited. Above is not criticism, but pointers for making the act more effective. Best of luck!
