The Joseph D. Bay Memorial Scholarship Fund (JDBMSF) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students in Leon County, Texas who are pursuing careers in trade and technical education. Founded in 2018 in honor of Joseph D. Bay, this scholarship fund focuses on helping students from the cities of Oakwood, Normangee, Centerville, Leon and Buffalo, Texas gain access to meaningful careers through vocational schooling, workforce training, and certification programs. Each year, we host our signature fundraiser, the JDBMSF BBQ & BREW, in Jewett, Texas to raise funds and awareness for this vital mission. The event features BBQ plates, live and silent auctions, dancing and fun for the whole community all while making a real impact in the lives of our local students. With your support, we're helping build skilled, confident, and prepared future tradesmen and women right here at home.
