Jess Pfohl is a Boston-based musical improv coach, musical director, and improviser who loves creating welcoming, low-pressure experiences for artists and performers to grow.Her work centers on heart-forward storytelling, musicality, collaboration, and helping people feel confident showing up creatively—regardless of background or experience level.With training and experience across musical improv, long-form improv, sketch, and screenwriting, Jess brings a multidisciplinary approach to teaching and facilitation.Most recently she perfomed a week-long run with her cast Love Is Blind: The Improvised Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe (2024), and coached the musical improv team Metrognome (2025), and regularly creates workshops and projects that blend structure with play.Jess is also the founder of a Medford-based video production studio, where she works with organizations and creatives to tell clear, human-centered stories.
