Hello! I'm Jen, and I love creating joyful lettering.Words connect us to thoughts, feelings, people and places. Spoken words are one thing, but when they're hand-written, painted, designed or inked it can give them a new feeling, a longevity.We can take our time to look, feel, relate to and enjoy them - again and again.My focus is on modern calligraphy, whether that's in the form of art prints, bespoke calligraphy, chalkboard art or teaching groups and individuals - it's all about creating meaningful words that connect - and of course, look beautiful!I love both brush-lettering and dip-pen calligraphy, using a variety of tools to create original designs, prints and greetings cards, and enjoy teaching workshops that inspire and help other people do that too.Teaching has led to creating bespoke workshops for groups and developing new workplace well-being workshops for companies and organisations, events and festivals.I love sharing my passion for lettering and you can see lots of examples of live lettering if you follow me on Instagram.The success of my adult and junior workshops led to launching my Brush lettering kits, so you don't have to live locally in Hertfordshire to learn calligraphy with me, and you can enjoy the mindful nature of creative calligraphy in your front room.
