After growing up in a Christian home, marrying her FedEx man - who quickly became a pastor - Jemelene has spent the past several years breaking out of the identity box built by others. The more comfortable she became with not fitting in, the more she has been convinced that she belongs. For close to twenty years Jemelene has shared stories of hope, through her blog and website. She has chronicled her journey through foster care, adoption, infertility, grief, marriage issues and supporting a community through tragedy. It all points to one place, Jesus.It’s been several years since becoming a licensed pastor and almost seven since she left her job to pursue a professional speaking ministry. Her sabbatical turned into medical leave with the diagnosis of cancer. Jemelene has spoken at retreats, conferences, and multiple women’s events over the past 25 years.
