Follow Japanese American Service CommitteeFounded in 1946, JASC (Japanese American Service Committee) was established to support Japanese Americans resettling in Chicago after incarceration during World War II. Rooted in that history, our mission continues to be preserving Japanese American heritage while serving the broader community. We offer cultural programs such as Japanese language, cooking, and ikebana classes, provide vital social services for individuals and families, and steward the Legacy Center to share and protect the history of Japanese Americans in Chicago.
