J Smoke, the 10-2 boss is a Metro Atlanta native who is also the youngest of three siblings and the son of a long time disk jockey and now pastor. J Smoke has practiced mixing and blending hits musically since the age of 10. He excelled on both sporting fields and in the classroom, graduating in the top 5% of his class and receiving several scholarships to play sports. In 2008, J Smoke went on to attend Albany State University. Shortly after relocating to the Good Life City known as Albany, Georgia, J Smoke created a name for himself on campus as the hottest DJ and college radio host! He helped pioneer events such as "What's Up Wednesdays", where students would gather and fellowship around music, fun, food and games. Till this day, this event is still very much alive and thriving at the University. J Smoke has dj'd and hosted in front of hundreds of crowds of thousands of partygoers. From HBCU homecomings and greek events, to radio and club events, J Smoke has proven himself to be a multitalented mogul. J Smoke is no stranger to hard work. In Albany, he became the top iHeartmedia radio personality, broadcaster, and community activist. He is a leading figure in countless turkey drives, going-back-to-school events, give back initiatives and nationwide philanthropic operations, such as the "Water Drive" for Flint Michigan. While tenured at iHeartmedia, J Smoke surpassed previous ratings during the 7pm-12am drive. He scored highly in consecutive Nielsen ratings books with a 50% share of the market. Shortly after, J Smoke was promoted to the afternoon drive where he executed endorsements with national brands such as Metro PCS, Wendy’s and Krystal’s, while continuously maintaining high ratings. He currently serves as the Production Director and Assistant Music Director under the iHeartmedia brand. After his transition back to Atlanta in 2018 as an intern, consistency and hard work has landed J Smoke a position with Streetz 94.5, one of the leading stations in the Atlanta market. J Smoke's magnetic personality and passion for radio has continued to drive his growth in the broadcasting industry.
