Into.Into The Woods Farm is a small educational farm situated deep in the woods in the foothills of the SouthernAdirondacks. Located in the town of Middle Grove, New York, just 25 minutes from downtownSaratoga Springsand 50 minutes fromLake Georgeand Albany.We have a small herd ofNigerian Dwarf Goats, a flock of hearty chickens, 3 dogs, a barn cat and lots of woodland critters right in our backyard. The farm sits on 15 acres of wooded property surrounded by hundreds of acres of diverse forest, fields, and wetlands. Rich with plants, trees, streams, and animals there is always something to discover just outside the door.The farm is run by my children and me. We do all of our own building, maintenance, and event planning. The farm was created with the children in mind and to give them a sense of responsibility and compassion that only a farm, it's animals, and hard work can do.We practice natural and holistic methods for our animals, property, and family. Striving to source locally and practice wellness over treating illness and disease.Into The Woods Farm offers a variety ofwilderness and agricultural based programs, products, workshops, and experiences IncludingGoat Yoga In The WoodsNYboth on site and at off site locations. OurWild Walk In The Woodsfor individuals and families on Friday afternoons includes a walk in the woods with our herd of Nigerian Dwarf Goats and is a great way to kick off the weekend.Into The Woods Snowshoe Adventuresare for all levels and ages groups and individuals. Our elevation gives us snow in November thru April for a long season of snowshoeing and exploring.Into The Woods hosts school, Scout, and homeschool group programming and field trips for children and adults tailored to your groups wants and needs.Experiences including Wilderness/ Outdoor Education and Recreation, Experiential Education, Independent Living , and Farm Education and Visits. We also have our own 4H groupInto The Woods & Under The Sky.Just like the farm it includes a little bit of all we have to offer with a concentration in getting kids in the outdoors and instilling a love of learning.We also participate in local events and venues when possible such as Waldorf Autumn Festival, Wilton Wildlife Preserve Festival, and Walk For Alzheimer’s Benefit Fall 2017 and 2018 in Queensbury, Saratoga Adventure’s Schmaltz Brewery Goat Yoga Fall 2017, Wesley Center Staff Day to name a few.We offerMorning On The Farmfor folks interested in a peek at who we are and what we have to offer where kids (and adults) collect eggs, snuggle goats, explore our trails and experience our daily farm routine in a small dose.Recently we have been fortunate enough to be in and on the front cover of Saratoga Family Magazine Spring/ Summer issue, The Daily Gazette for the Wilton Wildlife Festival as well as a fantastic article on our farm by Indiana Nash about us and our farm on Tuesday July 10th. Channel 13 6:00 News visited our Goats & Grapes education family event at the Saratoga Winery in August and Channel 10 News interviewed us for the Sunday morning show and 6:00 News as well as Monday Morning Program for our NY Goat Yoga In The Woods and Goat Yoga events.
