Serving the communities of Imperial Valley since 1974, the Imperial Valley Desert Museum Society, Inc. is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and celebrating the deserts of southern California. Its new facility in the heart of the Yuha Desert celebrates and stewards Native American and historic artifacts found within the Imperial Valley. Opening a new museum in the twenty-first century, we do not want to be seen as an exhibit within four walls, but as a place to get out and experience the wonders of our region.
