About the Human Library® Los AngelesThe Human Library® is a worldwide nonprofit that invites people to “borrow” human beings instead of books. At our events, volunteer “Human Books” share their lived experiences in respectful, one-on-one or small-group conversations. Readers are encouraged to ask questions they might not normally feel comfortable asking, creating a safe and open space for dialogue, understanding, and curiosity.Each Human Book represents a real story and a lived perspective.
