This non-accredited information session teaches the skills and knowledge required to recognise emergencies and provide immediate and effective first aid treatment to children and babies suffering a sudden illness or injury. This course is ideal for new parents and grandparents. Topics covered include but are not limited to CPR, Choking, Asthma, Allergic reactions, Bleeding, Burns, Childhood illnesses, Diabetes, and drug overdose. There will be hands on practical parts of the course where you can practice CPR and choking first aid, plus lots of discussions about our experiences as mums and paramedics as well as plenty of opportunities for you to ask qusetions.
