Heal & Thrive Global is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering women and transforming communities in the Soroti District of Uganda through sustainable, locally-led solutions. Founded in 2014, our mission is to break cycles of poverty by addressing three critical needs: access to clean water, education for our mamas, and provision of emergency medical and trauma-informed care.What began as a small grassroots effort has grown into a powerful movement—one that believes every woman deserves the opportunity to thrive, and every community deserves access to basic human rights. We work hand-in-hand with local staff to build water wells so that children stop dying from disease due to lack of clean water. We help community leaders establish literacy centers so that women can obtain basic, everyday knowledge and learn business skills to better provide for their families. We train caretakers and provide resources to health clinics so that there is support to urgent medical crises in rural areas where it is often nonexistent.Every well we drill serves an entire village. Every literacy center opens doors for women who have never had the chance to read or write.
