“When a friend & I heard Howlers was to inaugurate an open mike evening, we were intrigued by the notion & set to attend its first event, which began in the later months of 2025. My friend played a number of piano pieces @ two events & I presented two poems — one I wrote myself & the other by a well known & regarded Palestinian poet recently killed in the besieged region. Both my readings were well received on the two separate nights. The organizer & curator of the new initiative, Brent Halfyard, was most helpful & facilitating.
