GOPIO Queensland has been a very active chapter of GOPIO International, celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2018. GOPIO Qld hosts their annual flagship event India Day Fair every year at Roma Street Parkland. Delegates of GOPIO Queensland have attended all major International conventions and is recognized as one of the most active chapters. Past Presidents of GOPIO Qld have served as International coordinators, convenors of GOPIO International regional conference amongst many other such engagements. Members of GOPIO Qld are serving as Chairpersons of GOPIO International Human Rights Council and, GOPIO International Science and Technology chair , this says a lot about the calibre of its memebrs
