Aveen Keogh is a contemporary stained glass artist based at her studio at the Castlecomer Craft Yard, Kilkenny. A lifelong love of making has been a constant thread throughout her life. With a background in Ceramic Design from the West Wales School of Arts and over a decade of teaching Design and Technology in the United Kingdom, she has always found joy not only in creating but also in sharing her skills with others.Over time, her creative path naturally evolved through exploring different materials and techniques, eventually leading her to stained glass in 2020. The following year, Glass and Arrow was established, a small independent business selling her work online. Her practice is rooted in careful craftsmanship, with a focus on high-quality finishes and thoughtfully selected glass, bringing attention to detail and care into every piece.All of her work is made by hand at her Castlecomer studio, which is open to the public. She also runs regular stained glass workshops across Ireland and the United Kingdom, offering a welcoming space for people to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy the process of handmade crafts.
