Richmond County Hospice, Inc. is a non-profit hospice program that provides care to patients in RIchmond, Anson, Scotland, Moore and Montgomery counties. Our mission is to comfort the body and heal the heart through compassionate, quality care during end-of-life experiences, so patients and families may live each day with peace, comfort and dignity. Patients can receive care at home; in Hospice Haven, our “hospice hospital,” an acute, 6-bed inpatient center; in an assisted living facility; a skilled nursing home; or in a hospital. At home, a registered nurse is on call 24-hours a day; at the Haven, the patient receives round-the-clock registered nursing care. Our hospice team supports the physical, emotional, social, and financial needs of the whole patient. The team of professional caregivers include, a Hospice Physician, Registered Nurses, Hospice AIdes, Social Workers, Chaplain, Volunteers, Bereavement Coordinator and other professioanls as needed. These services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance plans. For patiens who do not have medical insurance, our benevolent care fund/Richmound County Hospice Foundtion provides for their care in full. We have provided over 220K in benevolent care annually for fully or partial services. This fundraiser will provide funding for our benevolent care fund and our bereavement program.
