Friends of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization whose mission is the preservation, beautification and vitality of Dag Hammarskjold Plaza and its Katharine Hepburn Garden.We bring free public programs to the Plaza, frequently partnering with organizations who share our mission. Bound by the conviction that healthy parks make healthy neighborhoods, we serve in cooperation with NYC Parks and Recreation, NYPD and other city agencies.Membership is open to all who share our commitment to public space regardless of race, color, sex or creed.
