This was the first time our family (My 3 adult sons & I) has ever attended an encampment. We loved it & no doubt will be going to others in the future. The 3pm Battle was really well done and an incredible learning experience on many different levels. There were so many different countries involved in our revolution, it was actually the 1st world war, although nobody considered that at the time due to the chaos of the war that totally consumed their lives. Anyway, I give the Cass River Colonial Encampment 5 stars (2 more than Michelin gives) because of the exceptional participants who (each & every one we came across) were great storytellers, a wealth of detailed historical info we were hearing about for the 1st time, & just plain friendly, polite folks. HUZZAH! you guys, great job!
