Essendon Bowls Club

Each week over 140 players represent the Club in various pennant fixtures. With new developments at the Club membership is growing and more teams will be entered in pennant to maximise participation of interested men and women as required. The pennant season runs each summer from the end of September through to March. The new Community Challenge runs for 4 to 5 Wednesdays in November and February. This event is open to teams of four novice players from friendship groups, work places, community groups and other sports clubs. On other occasions social and "barefoot" bowls is available, with bowls provided, for those interested. On these nights the $5 entry fee includes a sausage sizzle tea. Throughout the year the Club hosts a number of special tournaments including the Victorian Masters Triples and the Australia Day Maximum Medley.
