Hi my name is Marion Bertaud and I am an advocate for the End of Life Option Act, also known as Deb's Law, for the state of Illinois. My mom passed away in NJ from pancreatic cancer and she chose to utilize the New Jersey state End of Life Option law (the NJ bill passed in 2019). It was a peaceful passing that helped her and loved ones focus on their care and love for her instead of her upcoming death. My mother and our family & friends were grateful she passed away peacefully on her own terms and when she felt was best for her.
