The Emerson Colonial, Boston’s oldest theatre and arguably the birthplace of musical theatre, will undergo construction this summer to restore this gem back to its former glory. A theatre for the community, the Emerson Colonial will once again contribute to the rich cultural landscape of Boston, with a new and varied program of Broadway shows, live music, comedy and events.
